Once upon a time in a small village in Austria. Where people and cows try to live together in harmony. They are with them from the beginning of their lives until their end. We relive together the life of a calf that, born in winter, finds its home for a summer in the picturesque mountains above the village, and in autumn is brought to its predetermined end. The documentary wants to show the coexistence between man and animal, and tell what efforts the farmers and shepherds take to give their animals a life worth living.
