Atlantropa​

Using fictional recordings, we follow the journey of a worker from France and an engineer from Germany to the construction site of the megalomaniac project "Atlantropa", in which the entire Mediterranean Sea is partly drained by dams. As we follow the progress of this real planned project in the fictional 1920s and 1930s, a propagandist narrator accompanies us with commentary. The initial enthusiasm is overwhelming, but gradually organisational, social and environmental problems arise and grow. In the end, the project leads to the whole of Europe descending into chaos.
